Terms of Use

Free, as is

Barcode Generator is provided free of charge, "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. By using the service, the API, or the MCP endpoint you accept these terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service: zero.

Your responsibility

Verify every generated code before production use. Scan-test barcodes with your target hardware, and confirm retail identifiers (EAN, UPC, ITF-14) against your GS1 registration — issuing valid GS1 numbers is your responsibility, not this tool's. You own the content you encode and must have the right to use it.

The service may be rate-limited, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. Availability is not guaranteed. Do not build production pipelines on the free anonymous tier; registered API keys get defined quotas, but the same as-is terms apply.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. Registration requires explicitly accepting these terms; creating an account through the API constitutes the same acceptance. We record which version of these terms you accepted and when.

We store the minimum an account needs: your email address, a hash of your password, hashes of your API keys (never the keys themselves), and aggregate usage counters for rate limiting. No tracking pixels, no ad networks, no selling data.

The software

The underlying software is open source under the MIT License, which carries its own warranty disclaimer. If these terms don't work for your use case, you are free to run your own instance.
